NHL All-Star Game

This past weekend, the NHL All-Star game took place in Raleigh, North Carolina. This year NHL executives decided to take a risk and change things up a bit. Instead of having the traditional East verse West teams face off, a fantasy draft was created allowing the players to select their own teammates. This change provided a much needed spark to the event and was enjoyed by both fans and players.

A Canadian Showing Their Talent in a Sport Other Than Hockey

The Australian Open, one of the four Grand Slams in tennis just ended yesterday with number 3 ranked player, Novak Djokovic taking the title. One of the biggest talked about stories throughout the tournament was the play of a young Canadian. Milos Raonic, only 20 years of age qualified for the tournament and made it to the round of sixteen, beating the 20th and 10th ranked players along the way. He has become the first Canadian player to make it that far in a Grand Slam.

People may think it's cold in Charlotte, but they have no idea...

Today in my hometown Toronto, Canada the high was 16 degrees Celsius. However with the wind chill in effect it felt more like -29 C
It is so cold that residents are being told when outdoors, exposed skin can be subject to frost bite in as little as 10 minutes.
